I have let this space gather dust. Not because I haven’t been doing anything, but rather because I’ve let myself grow complacent with throwing a link onto my Facebook page, hitting enter and running off into the night. Sometimes I chortle when I do this. It depends on the night.
In any event, here is part 1 of my probably multi-day process of throwing some of what I’ve been working on up here. Most of these were Woot submissions, so these may be old news to some:
This was for Woot’s art nouveau derby. I was pleasantly surprised to see how popular art nouveau is in the tshirt world when I started designing them. I spent much time in college drooling stupidly professionally appreciating the line work of many an Alphonse Mucha illustration. Fun fact: I am utterly unable to spell the word “nouveau” without looking it up every. single. time.
Valkyrie Requiem

Next is another woot submission. The derby was animals reenacting history. This was the totally not fabricated story I posted for it:
On October 14th, 1947 the sound barrier was officially broken by a Peregrine Falcon flying at an altitude of very high. Though Peregrine Falcons were known to reach speeds in excess of 322 km/hour while diving, the feat of exploding the sound barrier through level flight was super unexpected and the only dude who was watching dropped his hot dog and was pretty sad about that for a while.
So uhh, this turned out looking kind of abstract, but a falcon breaking the sound barrier was the concept I had in mind when I made it, anyway
Breaking Barriers

The last woot submission I’m going to throw up here is pretty straight forward. Steampunk Cereal. When I said straight forward I was assuming you know what steampunk is. If you don’t then go out and buy a monocle and pretend. I will wait.
Sugar and Steam

And then this one. Just a take on the Big Bang Theory.
